Plastic-Free Toothpaste - Citrus Spice Blend

Ditch the tube! An easy way to cut your plastic waste is by switching to plastic-free toothpaste. It takes a little getting used to, but we successfully made the switch and encourage you to try it!

Nelson Naturals was a trailblazer in the plastic-free movement, starting their zero waste toothpaste company in 2012. They are an environmentally conscious company in Canada that continues to create eco-friendly products in a responsible way.

Use the toothpaste in this glass jar by dipping your brush in and getting just a dab, then wet your brush and brush your teeth as usual. It doesn't foam up the way you're probably used to, but you get used to that.

Citrus Spice Blend is their best selling toothpaste formula, and it's my favorite paste flavor. With hints of mint, cinnamon, citrus, rosemary and clove, it's not as salty as the Spearmint. I find it pleasant, but not sweet.

This paste does not contain glycerin, SLS or Fluoride. It does contain sea salt, giving the paste a decidedly salty flavor - think rinsing your mouth with saltwater - it's not the sweet toothpaste you're used to! But you get used to that, too. We also advise you not to give up - try a different flavor, try toothpaste tablets, just keep trying until you find one you like well enough to keep using. That's what we did!

Ingredients: Calcium Carbonate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Xylitol, Sea Salt, Colloidal Silver, Castile Soap, Trace Mineral Concentrate, Essential Oils of Sweet Orange, Cinnamon, Clove, Rosemary, & Peppermint.
