Soapstone artisans in the rural village of Tabaka, Kenya formed a fair trade organization called SMOLart Self Help Group to sell their crafts. The artisans start with local Kisii soapstone then carve, dye and etch these heart shaped boxes. Two lazy lizards give these small but eye-catching boxes their character.
